Best Smartwatches Under ₹5000 in India – What’s Real and What’s Just Hype?
When I cDirectLink_5asually stumbled across an Apple Watch Ultra listed for just ₹3500, I had to do a double take. We’ve tested smartwatches under ₹1000, ₹5000, ₹10,000—even ₹50,000—but the under-₹5000 segment is where most of the real action is. And in 2025, budget smartwatches have gotten really good.
But let’s start with the elephant in the room...
😱 The ₹3500 Apple Watch Ultra? Spoiler: It’s a Scam.
Yep, I saw an Apple Watch Ultra ad on YouTube—₹3500, free delivery, looked legit. So, I went for it (with cash on delivery, of course). When it arrived, it came in an Apple Watch Series 8 box, looked exactly like the Ultra, and even included the famous orange Ocean BDirectLink_5and (worth ₹9500 on Apple’s site).
But the moment I turned it on, red flags went flying:
Swipe left: broken menu.
Tap WhatsApp: null.
Tap Twitter: also null (ironic, since Twitter is kinda dead).
Settings? One-line UI chaos.
Even the serial number looked real—it showed up as an Apple Watch 7 on Apple’s site. That’s how good this clone was. But still, it was a clone. These fakes flood Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube ads. Don’t fall for it. Even if you want one just for show—don’t. These break in 1–2 months, tops.
💸 So, What Should You Actually Buy Under ₹2000?
🔹 Crossbeats Ignite Advanced Calling Smartwatch – ₹1899
For this price, you’re getting:
1.7" LCD display
Apple-style UI
Bluetooth calling
Heart rate + SpO2 tracking
It’s basic, but it works. You can even make calls from the watch. Downside? The software is undercooked—no alarm setting, no call mute, and a very generic mobile app. Still, at this price: 6/10 recommended.
💰 Stepping It Up: Best Under ₹4000
🔹 Amazfit Pop 2 – ₹3999 (often on sale for ₹3799)
This one’s for those who want something a little better. It brings:
1.78" AMOLED display
10-day battery life
Bluetooth calling
Always-on display
Metal build, 59–60g weight
Step tracking is solid (tested against an Apple Watch), though the strap can feel a bit itchy. Still, for the features? 7/10 recommended.
🧑💼 Look Sharp: Best Under ₹5000
🔹 OnePlus Nord Watch – ₹4999
This one wins big on design and smoothness:
1.78" AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh
Fluid UI, beautiful animations
Sleek strap that fits with formals or casuals
Heart rate & SpO2 tracking
But... no built-in GPS or Bluetooth calling. So if you use a OnePlus phone and want style over features: 7/10 recommended.
🥇 The Best All-Rounder: Realme Watch 3 Pro – ₹4999
This is the watch to buy if you want everything packed into one sleek package:
GPS ✔
Bluetooth calling ✔
1.78" AMOLED display
Tough glass & solid metal frame
Auto workout detection
Great companion app
Realme nailed it here. The watch is durable—I banged it against a metro station wall and it came away with just a scratch. Only downside? No auto-pause for workouts (so don’t forget to turn off tracking). Feature-wise, it’s unbeatable.
⭐ Verdict: Best feature-rich smartwatch under ₹5000.
🚀 What’s Next for Budget Smartwatches?
India is leading the smartwatch revolution. The next big trends? Expect eSIM support and curved displays to drop into the budget space soon. And when they do, we’ll be right here, testing them out.
